Indoor Air Quality Assessment & Testing

The Secret to a Healthier Home

Understanding how your indoor health impacts you and your family is crucial. Many homeowners assume mold is the culprit when facing indoor air quality issues. While mold can be a factor, it’s important to know that most Florida homes have mold spores. Testing for mold spores alone doesn’t confirm active growth without cultivating the spores in a Certified Lab. Identifying the source or reason for contamination also requires more than a standard mold test. Additionally, mold might not be the only problem. There are over 500 other contaminants to test for when health concerns arise. Indoor toxins from MVOCs, VOCs, and other pollutants can harm your health over time.

At Sani Effect, we use the latest technology to conduct comprehensive mold inspections. Our IAQ Assessment and Testing Services monitor for 500+ airborne chemicals and hidden mold growth with a single air sample, covering 2,000 sq. ft. This test identifies chemical pollutants that could make you sick and predicts their sources, whether from the home or its contents. It also checks for hazardous air pollutants, with formaldehyde off-gassing testing available and environmental mycotoxins testing.

Mold/IAQ is Becoming a Bigger Issue

Today’s home and business owners everywhere with so many people having mold related allergies and health issues.

Stop Risking Your Health or Property

Studies from the EPA reveal that 100% of people tested have toxic chemical exposure from within their home environment.

To help you navigate the process of determining if your home is toxic with mold, Microbial VOC’s, VOC and mycotoxins and to determine if you are someone who is genetically susceptible to becoming sick from the common toxins that lead to Environmental Acquired Illness. Awareness is the first step, followed by the right assessment and inspection so that you can make the right decisions going forward.

Air testing is often recommended and performed on a building however it is far too limited to capture the heavy and sticky toxins which are rarely floating around in the air. Air testing is commonly why so many homes are not identified as toxic.

Formaldehyde Off-Gassing Testing

Recently, there has been an increased national awareness

Growing concern for formaldehyde gas being released from manufactured laminated flooring and other composite wood products. The adhesives and sealants used in many of these products may contain formaldehyde and this formaldehyde vapor can off-gas from the finished product even after it has been installed in a home.

However, recent investigations have shown that formaldehyde off-gassing can still be of a concern from some of these products. They can even be elevated above acceptable levels that they are listed as meeting. Formaldehyde gas is highly toxic and a confirmed human carcinogen. Even at lower exposure levels, formaldehyde gas can cause eye and nasal irritation, headaches and aggravate asthma conditions.

Sani Effect Environmental team can assist you with a noninvasive or bulk formaldehyde sampling. We send our samples out to an independent laboratory that will conduct the analysis and results to help you better evaluate the potential formaldehyde hazards from your composite wood products. Results within 48 hours. We work independently to evaluate and sample your home and property. Our sampling is non-intrusive.
